Successful Blogging with Details
April 11, 2007 – 9:03 pmSince our alpha launch on March 28, 2007 we have obtained over 2,600 unique visitors with over 18,000 page views. More than 90% of this traffic is due to our blogging campaign.
The majority of the visits came from this blog post. If you browse through our blog posts you will see that the main difference between this post and the others is the level of detail and its focus on a technical solution to a common problem.
To bolster our exposure we submitted this blog to several social networking sites with most visits coming from digg.com, stumbleupon.com and reddit.com.
But what really brought in the most hits was when we reached the front page, top story at linuxtoday.com and Japan’s PHP pro.
We are using AWStats and Google Analytics to gather our web traffic data.
For a time we were also featured as the second listing on del.icio.us in the popular PHP section. We also gained coverage on the front page of a Spanish and Italian web site devoted to Symfony and PHP news.
