Change Your Life Completely
June 13, 2007 – 2:18 pmI was reading a book named “Success” by J. Pincott. It is a collection of “Success” quotes by various successful people. One of the quoted people is Bill Clinton, he said that a little book named “How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life” by Alan Lakein changed his life. In particular, the lifetime goals exercise. The book recommends that you ask your self the following questions twice, with the second time coming at a later date.
1. What are my lifetime goals? (Personal, Family, Social, Career, Financial, Community and Spiritual Goals)
2. How would I like to spend the next five years?
3. If I know that I would die in six months from now, how would I live until then?
4. My three most important lifetime goals are…
I recommend you take a look at this little book and dig deeper. It is dated (June 1974 is the date of publication) but you will find that many of todays time management and success books borrow from a great deal of these principles (which I’m sure he in turn borrowed from others).
