ThemBid.com introduced to Greater Riverside Chamber of Commerce members
April 18, 2007 – 11:39 pmAs two members of the team wrap things up at the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco, another team member and I looked to continue the momentum back at home by promoting ThemBid.com at the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce New Member Reception & Orientation.
The event kicked off with introductions whereby each member gave a brief 30-second summary of their business. When it came time for us to introduce ourselves, we explained the concept of ThemBid.com and also added that most of the team members were graduates of the University of California at Riverside. We were pleasantly surprised when everyone in the room burst out in cheers and gave us a round of applause. Needless to say we were very well received!
After the event, we stuck around to network with the other attendees. We apparently created a lot of interest in the website during our 30-second introduction. We were bombarded with questions after the event by other attendees wanting to know more about ThemBid.com and how they could leverage it for their own business.
The feedback we received at this event was very positive. We received many compliments about great idea behind ThemBid.com. Many of the attendees told us that it was something they would definitely use.
This was a great event to unveil ThemBid.com to the Greater Riverside business community. Look for us to have a presence at upcoming Chamber events.
