Improvements and Bug Fixes
March 30, 2007 – 2:14 amI can’t stress enough how much we appreciate the feedback. As as result we were able to fix and change the following:
- Read More button was changed to Details… since there may be no more text to read but the user still needs to click on a link to see the details of the post.
- We had to add a profanity filter since a post had a bad word. Although this seems bad we are thankful since we didn’t anticipate that.
- We had a bug were some users would get a “Page not found” error if they try to post a message without being logged in. After logging in, they would get redirected to page to save the message but the URL was not encoded properly (referrer) and it would go a page that didn’t exist. Now it should work like a charm.
We will be making small changes in the next few days such as adding more categories such as Home Improvement and subcategories of it. We are also planning on adding tagging to be able to pick the categories with the most activity.
The most exciting stuff we will adding is the ability for businesses to post local deals/specials. This is due by next Thursday April 5th so make sure to check out that feature.
