What’s a ThemBid?
March 29, 2007 – 11:02 amSomeone asked me today, what does our tag line ( “stop searching, make them bid” ) mean? And, what is the deal with the name ThemBid?
Currently, consumers generally search the Yellow Pages or some other type of directory to find products and services. This is time consuming and it is difficult to find out which businesses provides the best value.
We are saying, stop searching (directories) and make them (businesses) bid for your product and/or service request. Using our ratings system (which we will continue to enhance) and the ability to localize, we provide an easier way to find what you need and want.
We decided that ThemBid is an easy, concise way to name the concept and allow for a short easily typed domain.
